Abstract:
To provide a printing device that performs printing on roll paper, which is configured to enable roll paper to be taken into and out of a roll paper holding part without any problem.SOLUTION: A printing device 10 comprises: a main body part 15; an opening/closing cover 16 that is connected to the main body part 15 and moves to an opened position or to a closed position; a roll paper holding part 22, provided in the main body part 15, which can store first roll paper; and a remaining amount detecting part 32 that detects a remaining amount of the first roll paper stored in the roll paper holding part 22. The remaining amount detecting part 32 transfers from a first state where the part does not detect a remaining amount of the first roll paper 31 to a second state where the part detects the remaining amount of the first roll paper 31, in response to movement from the opened position to the closed position of the opening/closing cover 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 15
