PURPOSE: To provide a printing device provided with a mechanism complying with the use of a regenerated paper and an automatic cleaning mechanism for the stain of a sensor.
CONSTITUTION: The paper powder of a printing paper 701 is removed by a suction blower 108 and moisture is removed by a preheating roll 107. The sensor level state value is automatically compared with a previously set level reference value and decided by a sensor monitoring mechanism 501, so that sensor cleaning actions are controlled in a previously set manner even when the sensor level state value exceeds the level reference value. The number of cleaning trials is automatically compared with the previously set number of cleaning trials and decided by a sensor cleaning control mechanism 503, so that the degree of the adjusting trial in the case that the sensor level state is faulty is controlled in a previously set manner.
