PURPOSE: To attain the reading of the image data of a slip and a slip printing and to contrive the simplification and high speed of a processing procedure by assembling an image scanner to the slip transfer part of a printing device.

CONSTITUTION: When a slip 2 is inserted into a slip transfer part 1, a slip transfer control part 13 transfers the slip 2 to a printing mechanism part 3. On the way, an image scanner part 5 is passed through. The image scanner part 5 reads the information on the slip 2 accompanying the moving of the slip 2, and the read data are sent from an image scanner control part 14 through an image data fast interface 15 to a host control part. When the slip 2 arrives at a printing mechanism part 3, the printing data sent from a host controller through a system interface 10 to a device control part 11 are given through a printing control part 12 to the printing mechanism part 3 and a printing action is executed.
