Abstract:
To provide a printing apparatus capable of preventing the eccentric cam and the stopper member from shifting from each other, as well as, capable of reproducing an accurate platen gap position.SOLUTION: The printing apparatus comprises: a set of print heads 36 for printing on a print medium; and a platen drum 30 arranged at a position facing the set of print heads 36. Furthermore, the printing apparatus comprises: an eccentric cam 65 that moves the set of print heads 36 with respect to the platen drum 30 by rotating around a cam shaft 66; a drive unit 67 that rotates the eccentric cam 65 by rotating the cam shaft 66; and a stopper member 75 that restricts rotation of the eccentric cam 65 within a predetermined range. The eccentric cam 65 is provided with: a cam shaft hole 70 through which the cam shaft 66 is inserted; and a knock pin 72 provided at a position separated from the cam shaft hole 70.
