Abstract:
To provide a printer capable of maintaining printing quality even if thickness of a printing medium is changed when having a mechanism in which a thermal head is rotatably supported with respect to a platen roller.SOLUTION: A head holding section 3B of a printer 1A is rotatable between a first state S1 close to a first roller 21 and a second state S2 separated from the first roller 21. A plurality of heating elements 36A face the first roller 21 when the head holding section 3B is in the first state S1. A positioning section 5 abuts on the head holding section 3B in the first state S1 at a first abutted position C1 and abuts on the head holding section 3B in the second state S2 at a second abutted position C2. The second abutted position C2 is orthogonal to a virtual plane P21 passing the plurality of heating elements 36A and a fourth shaft 35X in the first state S1 and is arranged on an opposite side of the fourth shaft 35X with respect to a virtual plane P22 passing the first abutted position C1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
