To provide a printing machine in which a drying device is easily and quickly moved from a drying position to a retreat position when abnormality occurs.

The printing machine includes the drying device 3 for drying ink on printing paper that is conveyed after being printed. The drying device 3 includes a drying part body 18 which is provided in a housing part so as to freely move to the drying position where it comes close to the printing paper in order to dry the ink on the printing paper, and the retreat position where it separates from the printing paper, and an operation means 20 operating the drying part body 18 so as to move from the drying position to the retreat position.
