PURPOSE: To shorten the length of a dryer and also the time of baking printed coat by performing three processes, painting of undercoat, multi-color printing, and painting of clear paint, using an ultraviolet rays-drying type ink.

CONSTITUTION: A beer barrel 10 is supplied toward the direction of arrow F by a conveyer 7 while being supported by a guide roll 11 and then passed by the lower side of a transfer drum 12, during which an ultraviolet rays-drying type ink for undercoat is transferred to the periphery of the beer barrel 10. While the beer barrel 10 passes through an ultraviolet rays dryer 2, the ink printed on the periphery of the beer barrel 10 is completely baked. And, in a multi-color printer 3, the beer barrel 10 comes contact with the transfer drum 18 and a multi-colored pattern is printed on the periphery, and then the beer barrel 10 is passed through the ultraviolet rays dryer 4 where the ink of the multi colored pattern is completely baked. Then, the beer barrel 10 is passed by the lower side of the transfer drum 24 in a clear paint coater 5 to coat a given thickness of clear paint film on the beer barrel 10 and then through the next ultraviolet rays dryer 6 to completely bake the clear paint film.
