To provide a printing method for a planographic printing plate, which can bring about many printed matters with stable image quality.
In a printing plate material, a heat-sensitive image forming layer, which enables on-printer development, is provided on one surface on a polyester substrate with a thickness of 100-300 μm, and a back coat layer is provided on the other surface. The printing method for the planographic printing plate is characterized as follows: the printing plate material is subjected to image exposure; one end of the printing plate material subjected to the image exposure is fixed to a plate cylinder of a printer; a tension of 500-2,500 N/cm2 is applied to the other end facing one end; the other end is fixed to the plate cylinder; and subsequently, the on-printer development is performed for printing.
