Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing method and a printing apparatus to form a high definition pattern continuously on a glass base material, or a plastic film, especially a flexible base material such as a long plastic film which is efficiently manufactured.SOLUTION: There is provided a printing method comprising: applying an ink liquid layer on an ink release layer of an ink release film base material in which an ink release layer is provided on a part of a film base material; preliminarily drying the ink liquid layer; pressing a letterpress plate onto the preliminarily dried ink liquid layer, the letterpress plate having recessed portions for a necessary image portion pattern; transiting the preliminarily dried ink liquid layer onto a protruding portion of the plate without heating; and transferring an image pattern left on the ink release layer onto a target surface of a printing base material. The printing method further comprises: preliminarily applying ink onto a part of the letterpress plate to be used; and performing a pattern printing on an area of the ink release film base material in which the ink release layer is not provided, concurrently with obtaining an image pattern by transition of the ink liquid layer to the protruding portion of the plate.
