PURPOSE: To make possible the use of environmentally hygienic ink and contribute to environmental protection by supplying water ink to a dry flat plate where a non-image area is given an ink repelling substance, forming a patterned water ink layer, and transferring the patterned water ink layer to an object of printing.
CONSTITUTION: When an ink fountain roller 12 in an ink fountain 11 and a call-up roller 13 turn in contact with each other, water ink is supplied to the call-up roller 13. And then when the call-up roller 13 is moved rightward, and turns in contact with the distributing roller 14, the ink is supplied to a plate 16a having an ink repelling substance in the non-image area thereof through the form roller 15. On that occasion, the ink is dried during movement from the ink fountain roller 12 to the plate 16a, fixed the ink to the ink image area by adhesion to and repellence from the plate 16a of the ink, and forms an image. Printing to a printing base is made by an ordinary offset from the plate 16a through a blanket.
