Title:
PRINTING METHOD WITH ACTIVATION ENERGY BEAM-CURING TYPE INK WHICH IS EXCELLENT IN REPRODUCIBILITY OF PURPLE COLOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2008087334
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a printing method with activation energy beam-curing type ink which makes it possible to reproduce, by overprint of indigo and red, the color reproduction domain of RGB, particularly B (blue violet), which has been expressed by printing in 5-7 colors comprising a special color, such as purple, in addition to four conventional process colors of yellow, red, indigo and black.

In this printing method with the activation energy beam-curing type ink, red ink and indigo ink of which the chromaticities (JIS Z 8729) according to an L*a*b* color system are within the limits of L*: 48-55, a*: 77-85 and b*: -14--20 as to the red ink and L*: 52-58, a*: -38--43 and b*: -46--54 as to the indigo ink at the time when printing is made within the density limits of 1.52-1.56 as to red and 1.63-1.67 as to indigo, are overprinted. According to this method, the chromaticity of the overprinted part is within the limits of L*: 17-23, a*: 51-46 and b*: -71--76 and thus the method excels in color reproduction with a high saturation.
