PURPOSE: To reduce the fogging of printing and adverse of contacter on web as much as possible due to differences between the running speed of web and the peripheral speed of printer by a method in which the tension of web is controlled, and the running speed of web and the peripheral speed of printer are differentiated by a preset varying rate and the web is contacted with the printer by a contactor of a specific curvature radius length.
CONSTITUTION: A printing plate is attached over all the circumference of a printing cylinder 50 and a proper amount of ink is supplied from an inking apparatus 60 to the printing plate. The output of a reducing gear 70 is transmitted to a web drive roll 74 through the 3rd gear 7, and the roll 74 is contacted with a nip roll 76 through a web 20. The running speed of the web 20 sending out of an unwinder 22 is controlled to a preset ratio to the peripheral speed of the cylinder 50. The web 20 is controlled to a degree of tension enough not to be loosened. The web 20 is brought into contact with the cylinder 50 by a contactor 30 of a 2W70mm curvature radius while being tensed by a winder 24.
