Abstract:

PURPOSE: To form a material high in sensitivity for forming a printing plate high in printing resistance by forming an electrophotographic sensitive layer composed of both of an electrostatic charge generating layer contg. a specified azo pigment and a charge transfer layer on a conductive substrate.

CONSTITUTION: The charge generating layer 3 and the charge transfer layer 4 are laminated on the conductive substrate 1 to form the electrophotographic sensitive layers 2. The layer 3 contains the coupler of the azo pigment, such as phenol derivs., preferably, one of formulae 2W7m, and it is composed essentially of the azo pigment represented by formula I, preferably, in an amt. of ≥30wt%, and the layer 3 is formed, preferably, in a thickness of 0.05W2μm. The layer 4 is composed essentially of a charge transfer material, preferably, in an amt. of 20W60wt%, and an alkali-soluble resin, and it is formed, preferably, in a thickness of 3W20μm.
