PURPOSE: To prevent dust and dirt in the air from adhering to a printing plate of uppermost layer.

CONSTITUTION: Suckers 408 and 420 are disposed on the sucker supporting frame 410 of a PS plate takeout unit 402, and a PS plate 18 laminated on a placing table 32 are sucked and raised by the suckers 408 and 420, thereby successively taking out the PS plate 18 of the upper most layer from the placing table 32. A cover plate 80 having a size little larger than the size of the PS plate 18 is attached to the upper surface side of the frame 410, and a drop curtain 82 is attached to the circumference of the cover plate 80. When work for taking out the PS plate 18 is stopped, the frame 410 descends and stands by in a state where the suckers 408 and 420 are proximate to the PS plate 18 of the upper most layer. Therefore, a space between the upper surface side of the PS plate 18 of the uppermost layer and the frame 410 is partitioned from the circumference by the cover plate 80 and the curtain 82, thereby preventing the dust and the dirt suspending in the ambient air from adhering to the upper surface of the PS plate 18 of the uppermost layer.
