Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently perform fine sheet bundle processing even when the sheet bundle processing is performed by connecting a plurality of versatile sheet processors to an image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: In a printing system, an image forming apparatus is connected to a plurality of sheet processors, and sheet processing is simultaneously performed by the sheet processors. The printing system is provided with: acquisition means for acquiring standby time between bundles of sheets and switching time for switching the discharge destination for a bundle of sheets in each of the sheet processors; determination means for determining whether or not sheet bundle processing of alternately switching the plurality of sheet processors can be executed on the basis of the acquired standby time and switching time of each of the sheet processors; and control means for, when determining that the sheet bundle processing of alternately switching the plurality of sheet processors can be executed, controlling switching between first sheet bundle processing of alternately switching sheet bundle processing by each of the sheet processors and second sheet bundle processing of not alternately switching sheet bundle processing by each of the sheet processors.
