A first job composed of first data printed using a color recording agent and second data printed using a transparent recording agent is input to the printing system connected to the paper ejection part of a first printer used for printing with a color recording agent and the paper feed part of a second printer slower than the first printer and configured to print using a color recording agent and a transparent recording agent. In a case where the first printer has been processing the second job when the first job is printed, the printing system conveys to the second printer a paper on which the first data has been transferred and fixed using a color recording agent after the completion of processing of the second job by the first printer, and selects whether to transfer and fix again the second data using a transparent recording agent by the second printer or to transfer and fix the first data and second data using a color recording agent and a transparent recording agent by using only the second printer without waiting for the completion of processing of the second job to perform printing.
