Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism for setting spread bookbinding without being aware of the number of pages of print data, imposition logic unique to the spread bookbinding nor paper feeding operation or printing operation specific to a printing device in creating submission data as well as other bookbinding forms even when imposition processing for spread bookbinding is performed.SOLUTION: A printing system acquires a print job, analyzes the acquired print job, and imposes, according to a bookbinding form of the analyzed print job, print pages such that a sheet to be printed has two pages on each of the top and reverse, i.e. four pages in total. As an imposing method, when the bookbinding form of the print job is spread bookbinding, imposition is performed such that glued sides where nothing is printed among the four pages of the sheet to be printed are secured.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
