The printing testing machine in which a head part equipped with an impression cylinder and a doctor device runs on a flat sheet-like plate cylinder to perform the printing, has a constitution wherein a flat sheet-like pressure receiving plate 11 with the same height as the top face of the flat sheet-like plate cylinder 2 exists on a running path of the head part 6, and at least two units of load sensors 12 positioned below the pressure receiving plate 11 are equipped in the width direction. The pressure receiving plate 11 is pushed by a doctor blade 5 or the impression cylinder 4 to detect their load and left and right balance to the plate face, and by setting their load and left and right balance to the plate face based on the detected values, optimum doctor setting and/or printing pressure setting of the impression cylinder can be performed without actual printing. In addition, as measuring parts can always be assembled on the printing machine, after the doctor setting and the printing pressure setting are performed, the printing can be performed quickly.
