Title:
PROBE FOR DETECTING OLIGONUCLEOTIDE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3445131
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new probe, capable of hybridizing with an HIV nucleic acid target sequence selected from the group consisting of specific base sequences and sequences completely complementary thereto and useful for environmental and diagnostic tests by detecting HIV, scientific research, cloning, etc.
SOLUTION: This probe for detecting a new oligonucleotide comprises a nucleotide sequence capable of hybridizing with an HIV nucleic acid target sequence selected from the group consisting of formulae I to V and sequences completely complementary thereto (with the proviso that the probe is capable of hybridizing the oligonucleotide with a human nucleic acid and detecting the oligonucleotide or the probe is capable of hybridizing the oligonucleotide with the HIV nucleic acid under hybridizing conditions without forming a nontarget double strand and detecting the oligonucleotide and the probe is capable of forming the target double strand) and capable of hybridizing with the HIV nucleic acid target sequence and detecting the HIV nucleic acid target sequence and used in an autocatalytic method for synthesizing many copies of the target nucleic acid sequence and useful for environmental and diagnostic tests, scientific research, cloning, etc.
