Title:
PROBE FOR GENERATING FINE PARTICLE FOR MOLTEN METAL ANALYSIS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60122354
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To analyze a molten metal directly in high precision by converting the molten metal into fine powder by an electric discharge, etc., carrying said powders through a carrying tube by an inert gas stream and analyzing them.

CONSTITUTION: A counter electrode 10 is inserted from an upper cylinder 12 into a hole provided as pierced at a center of a lower cylinder 13, and fixed so that a fixed space is maintained between the top end and the surface of a molten metal 9. A connecting part 15 of a fine particle carrying tube is connected to the through hole, the fine particles generated between the electrode 10 and the surface of the metal 9 by spark discharge are introduced from a fine particle introducing hole 1 at a bottom end opening hole part of the through hole and transported to an analytical equipment through the fine particle carrying tube 4 via the part 15. Thereby, the direct analysis can be performed rapidly and accurately, without performing operation such as sampling in the analysis of components contained in the molten metal sample.
