Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the response of an actuator by connecting a sub-loop having high gain between a control device body and the actuator independently of a normal control loop. CONSTITUTION:In addition to the normal control loop, i.e. an arithmetic unit 2 and controlling arithmetic unit 3 in an ordinary process control device, the control device 1A is provided with a change-over switch 5 and a controlling arithmetic unit 6 for calculating the deviation between an output signal of the unit 3 and an actuator operating signal independently of the unit 3. The control constant of the unit 3 is set up to a value controlling a controlled system to its optimum state and that of the unit 6 is set up to the sum of a proportional control and a slight integrating control. Since a deviation may be generated between the output of the unit 3 and the actuator operating signal from an actuator operation detector 7 when the response of the actuator 4 is slow, a signal from the unit 6 is expressed by a large value, i.e. the product of the deviation and the gain of the unit 6. The operating signal is turned to a small value in accordance with follow-up operation and the response of the actuator 4 is determined by the proportional gain of the unit 6.
