Title:
PROCESS FOR INCREASING PULP YIELD BY TREATING WOOD CHIP WITH OXYGEN PRIOR TO CHEMICAL PULPING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS52110902
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
Process for breaking down wood chips, by chemical means, is claimed, where there is a water content in the wood material. Before the chemical decomposition process, the wood chips are placed in a pressure reactor to be treated by heat and oxygen so that the wood chips retain their water content. Pre-treatment phase ensures that the wood yielding process is accelerated to gain more slurry from the wood supply.
