Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process for manufacturing aggregate which inexpensively provides the aggregate by drying and baking a molded product obtained by granulating and molding incinerated ash of sewage sludge mainly generated at sewage sludge treatment facilities.
SOLUTION: In the manufacturing process, a kneaded product, obtained by mixing and kneading the incinerated ash of the sewage sludge, is granulated and molded through compression molding or extrusion molding to yield the molded product which is dried and baked to manufacture the aggregate. The incinerated ash is one obtained from a fluidized bed incinerator and is mixed and kneaded with non-incinerated wet sludge. Here, the wet sludge is either dehydrated sludge having a moisture content of 75-85% obtained by dehydrating the sewage sludge or waste sludge having a moisture content of about 95%.
