PURPOSE: To make it possible to surely seal the gap of a water branching valve port by fitting and securing a seal member made of a rubber cylinder for sealing the water branching valve port to the inside of a metallic tubular core of the water branching valve port.

CONSTITUTION: A seal member A is provided with a metallic tubular core 1. The core 1 is provided with an outwardly directed flange portion 2 and an inwardly directed flange portion 3 and further with an annular groove 4. A rubber cylinder 6 for sealing a water branching valve opening (b) is fit and retained in the annular groove 4 on the outer circumference of the core 1 so that the rubber cylinder 6 is flash with the outer circumferential surface of the core 1. When the diameter of the core 1 is expanded, the rubber cylinder 6 is intensely pressed against a tube (a) and the inner circumferential surface of a water branching valve port (b) of a hard tube lining (a1) on the inner surface of the tube (a).
