Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a spray drying process to obtain a dry product having a narrow particle size distribution and low dust content, and being able to avoid an additional processing or treatment for lowering dust an little as possible.

CONSTITUTION: A feedstock comprising a soln. or dispersion of a solid in a liq. medium is atomised into droplets with a narrow size distribution and a volume median diameter of 100-250 μm in spray dryer, whereby the droplets are converted into dry particulate solids within the spray dryer.
