Abstract:

To obtain 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoropropene (HFC-1234yf) by hydrogenation, dehydrofluorination and distillation while using hexafluoropropene (HFP) as a raw material.

A series of reactions steps are continuously carried out which include: hydrogenating HFP to obtain 1,1,1,2,3,3-hexafluoropropane (HFC-236ea); dehydrofluorinating the HFC-236ea to obtain 1,1,1,2,3-pentafluoropropene (HFC-1225ye); hydrogenating the HFC-1225ye to obtain 1,1,1,2,3-pentafluoropropane (HFC-245eb); and dehydrofluorinating the HFC-245eb to obtain HFC-1234yf.
