Abstract:
To provide a process for producing a halogeno-2-sulfonylpyridine derivative which is a raw material in a method for producing a halogenopyridine derivative useful as a synthetic intermediate of a medicine and an agrochemical, for example, as a synthetic intermediate of lazabemide which is under clinical development as a therapeutic drug of Parkinson's disease.
The process for producing a halogeno-2-sulfonylpyridine derivative represented by general formula (I) (wherein, X is a halogen atom; R1 is an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aryl group which may be substituted or an aralkyl group which may be substituted) involves reacting a halogeno-1,3-butadienyl ester with sulfonyl cyanide.
