To provide a powder of an acrylic multistage polymer to be used for producing a molded article which inhibits discoloration, is transparent, has excellent impact resistance, and uses a methacrylic resin and a methacrylic resin composition containing this powder, and a molded article obtained by molding the methacrylic resin composition.
A process for producing the powder of the acrylic multistage polymer comprises producing a latex of an acrylic multistage polymer by the emulsion polymerization using 100 pts.mass monomer constituting the acrylic multistage polymer and a redox initiator containing 0.1-0.3 pt.mass reducing agent and thereafter subjecting the latex of the acrylic multistage polymer to spray drying. The methacrylic resin composition comprises the powder of the acrylic multistage polymer and a methacrylic resin containing a methyl methacrylate unit, and the molded article is obtained by molding the methacrylic resin composition.
