Abstract:

To provide a process by which a fluoride ion present with minor concentration in water having a pH around the neutral is efficiently removed; and its concentration is reduced to the environmental regulation value or less.

The process for removing the fluoride ion feeds an aqueous solution containing the fluoride of the minor concentration in a column filled with a resin formed by adsorbing/carrying a trivalent lanthanum or cerium ion having a pH of 2-7 to/on a strong acidic cation exchange resin having giant network structure.
