To provide a processed egg packed in an elastic thin film, wherein the egg or processed egg heated and coagulated in the elastic thin film can extremely simply be taken out in a shape equal to the shape of the bag without being adhered to the inner surface of the bag.
The processed egg packed in the elastic thin film bag is obtained by charging a mixture of 100 pts.wt. of raw egg with ≥30 pts.wt. of water in the elastic thin film bag, sealing the bag and then heat the bag to coagulate the raw egg. One or more food materials may further be added to the mixture of the raw egg with the water. The processed egg packed in the elastic thin film bag is also obtained by charging a mixture of 100 pts.wt. of raw egg with ≥30 pts.wt. of water in the elastic thin film bag, sealing the bag, receiving the sealed elastic thin film bag and water in a retort container, and then subjecting the retort container to a retort sterilization treatment. One or more food materials may be added to the mixture of the raw egg with the water. The elastic thin film bag is preferably formed from protein-removed natural rubber, a silicone rubber or a urethane rubber.
