To prevent generation of photographic sensitive defects such as fogging or the like caused by dust stuck on the surface of a photographic sensitive material when conducting marking with a laser beam.
In the marking apparatus 10, a print roll 36 and a marking head 46 are enclosed with a dust-proof cover 60, preventing the laser beam LB from being interrupted by the dust flying in the air. In the marking apparatus 10, the dust stuck on the surface of an X-ray film 12 is eliminated with an adhesive roll 66 while eliminating the static on the X-ray film with static eliminators 70, 74. While static eliminators 72, 76 are used to prevent the dust from being stuck on the X-ray film again, the X film is sent into the dust-proof cover to prevent the dust stuck on the surface of the photographic sensitive material from generating the photographic sensitive defects.
