Abstract:
To provide a processing method for a silver halide photographic sensitive material by which white background fouling is not caused even if processing time is shortened and which ensures no increase of stain over time even under a light source of high illuminance.
In the processing method for a photosensitive material, a processing solution with which the photosensitive material comes into contact at the last of processing steps contains a compound represented by formula (I) and has an absorbance at 440 nm of 0.05-0.5.
