To provide a processing method for a silver halide photographic sensitive material less liable to generate stains and ensuring improved pinholes and stains for a film after processing even when the capacity of a washing tank is small and washing water is not replenished.
In the processing method, a silver halide photographic sensitive material having at least one hydrophilic colloidal layer on a support and containing monodisperse acrylic polymer particles having carboxyl groups and ≤20% comparative standard deviation value (CV value) in the at least one hydrophilic colloidal layer is processed with 0.5-51 washing water without replenishing washing water. A similar effect is obtained even when monodisperse acrylic polymer particles having hydroxyl groups in place of carboxyl groups and having ≤20% CV value are used.
