Abstract:
To obtain a processing method and a calcined substance effective for recycling sludge in paper making.
Sludge in paper making with water contents of about 50 to 80% is dried up to about 20 to 40% of water contents in a drier, and a particulate substance is formed from the dried substance in a granulation forming machine. The resulting particulate substance is incinerated and calcined in an incineration kiln to produce a calcined substance, and incineration gas produced in the incineration kiln is processed in a secondary combustion furnace and a waste heat boiler, and vapor obtained in the waste heat boiler is circulated for use as a heat source of the drier.
