PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for a dyeing liquid and to improve working environment by subjecting a waterless planographic printing plate which has a colored layer and a shielding layer provided thereon and is formed with a silicone rubber layer as the uppermost layer to image exposing, then removing the shielding layers of the image parts, thereby obtaining visible images.
CONSTITUTION: The colored layer and the light shielding layer on the colored layer are provided. The visible images are produced in the image parts by removing the shielding layers of the image parts at the time of development. The images having an excellent plate inspecting property are obtd. as the dyeing liquid is not used. In addition, the excellent effects that there is no contamination of hands, clothing and automatic developing machine, etc., and that the working environment is improved, are obtd. The waterless planographic printing plate to be used consists of the printing plate which has at least the colored layers and the shielding layers on the base and is further coated with a photosensitive layer and the silicone rubber layer in this order. The colored layer is a primer layer and the shielding layer may be the photosensitive layer. Coloring agents, such as pigments and dyes, may be incorporated into the shielding layer and the colored layer. Particularly, pigments and dyes of green, blue, green, etc., are preferably incorporated into the colored layer and pigments and dyes of a yellow color system are preferably incorporation to the shielding layers.
