To provide a producer information management system for obtaining information on producers of farm products or the like and producing areas, at outlet stores or the like.

The producer information management system includes: a producer terminal for outputting a first label according to producer information; a fruit sorting market terminal means for reading the first label information and outputting a second label; a packing area terminal means for reading the second label information and outputting a third label on which produce information is displayed; a collating terminal means for inputting the produce information and searching a database to obtain more detailed produce information to display or print this information; and a database means for accumulating the data transmitted from each of the terminals. In this system, a follow-up function is added to merchandise circulating in bulk, and producer information is displayed on each piece of merchandise delivered to customers, without greatly modifying a conventional system.
