Abstract:
To discriminate the kind or rightness of a product conveyed on a conveyance line without being influenced by illumination of a background, the kind of a light source, the service life of the light source or the like, and without inserting a filter in a lens on the camera side or adjusting an exposure stop.
The product 18 conveyed on the conveyance line 22 and a color sample 16 having a reference color are photographed simultaneously by a camera 12. Reference color information of the color sample 16 is compared with color information at a comparing spot of the product 18 relative to the photographed image by an image processing part 20, to thereby discriminate the kind or rightness of the product 18.
