To profitably obtain the subject compound useful for various kinds of uses such as an intermediate for synthesizing medicines, agricultural chemicals or perfumes, a raw material for polyamides, and surfactants by using inexpensive and safe compounds.
This method for producing a diamine comprises reacting a nitroolefin of formula I (R1 is H, an alkyl, etc.; R2, R3 are each H, an alkyl, etc.) with an 0-alkyl hydroxylamine of the formula: R4ONH2 (R4 is H, an alkyl, etc.) as starting materials at a reaction temperature for a reaction time, and subsequently subjecting the obtained compound of formula II to a hydrogenation method such as a catalytic hydrogenation reaction method using a heterogeneous catalyst such as Pd-adhered activated carbon as a catalyst in an alcohol as a solvent to produce the 1,2-diamine of formula III. The reaction temperature and the reaction time are suitably selected in response to the substrate of the compound of formula I, but the reaction temperature is usually preferably 0-50°C.
