Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide an industrially effective process for the production of 2,6-difluorobenzylamine useful as a synthetic intermediate for various derivatives used in the field of agrochemicals and pharmaceuticals.
CONSTITUTION: This process for the production of 2,6-difluorobenzylamine comprises the reduction of 2,6-difluorobenzonitrile with sodium borohydride and dimethyl sulfate in tetrahydrofuran.
