Title:
PRODUCTION OF AL ALLOY PLATED STEEL SHEET HAVING EXCELLENT CORROSION RESISTANCE, HEAT RESISTANCE AND WORKABILITY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS59229476
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce a plated steel sheet having excellent corrosion resistance, heat resistance and workability by dipping a steel in an Al alloy plating bath contg. a specific ratio of Si and Ti and forming an Al-Si-Ti alloy plating layer on the surface of the steel sheet.

CONSTITUTION: A steel sheet which is subjected to surface cleaning and reduction annealing in the gas in a reducing furnace is dipped in a plating bath consisting of the compsn. contg. 3.0W15% Si, 0.001W1.5% Ti and the balance Al and unavoidable impurities. The steel sheet is then pulled up from the plating bath and the coating weight is adjusted by a gas wiping nozzle, etc. in the position where the plating metal is not solidified yet, thereby forming an Al-Si-Ti alloy plating layer on the surface of the steel sheet.
