Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alloy cast iron with high toughness, superior in impact value to high chromium cast iron and cast iron and also superior in hardness to high manganese cast steel and low alloy cast steel.
SOLUTION: This alloy cast iron has a composition consisting of, by weight, 1.4-2.2% C, 0.5-1.5% Si, 0.5-1.5% Mn, 2.5-6.0% Cr, 1.5-8.0% Mo, 3.0-6.0% V, 0-5.5% Co, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities and also has ≥HRC62 hardness and ≥5.0 J/cm2 impact value.
