This method for producing an amine derivative of the formula: R1CH2NH2 comprises reducing (A) a nitrile derivative of the formula: R1CN {R1 is a group of formula I [a group of formula II is a single bond or a double bond; R2 is H, a lower alkyl, a lower alkoxy or a halogen; (n) is 0, 1-3] or the like) with (B) sodium borohydride in the presence of (C) sulfuric acid.
