Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an anisotropic bond magnet with excellent magnetic characteristics by crushing a special alloy in an organic solvent with a dipole moment of 1.0 debye or less by a mechanical crushing method so as to achieve a certain average particle diameter.

CONSTITUTION: An alloy which contains 10-30% R atoms (R is at least one rare earth element including yttrium, 2-28% boron atoms, and 65-82% M atoms (M has at least one of Fe, Co, or Ni) is crushed in an organic solvent with a dipole moment of 1.0 debye or less by a mechanical crushing method so as to achieve an average particle diameter of 0.5-50μm. Using this method, it is possible to produce a magnetic powder with high magnetic coercive force for an anisotropic bond magnet and an anisotropic bond magnet with excellent magnetic characteristics can be obtained.
