PURPOSE: To obtain an aqueous resin emulsion excellent in both production and dispersion stability, etc., by emulsion-copolymerizing a specified fluoroalkyl acrylate derivative with an acrylic acid devivative and a polyfunctional internal crosslinking monomer.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture is obtained by mixing 50W99.8wt% fluoroalkyl acrylate derivative of formula I (wherein R1 is H or a lower alkyl, R2 is formula IIor formula III, m is 0W12, x+y=m-1, n is 0W12, R3 is H or acetyl, and A is H, F, or CF3), e.g., formula IV or formula V, with 0.1W20wt% acrylic acid derivative of formula VI (wherein R4 and R5 are each H, a lower alkyl, or the like) and 0.1W20wt% polyfunctional internal crosslinking monomer (e.g., ethylene glycol dimethacrylate). This mixture is emulsion-copolymerized in an aqueous medium to obtain the purpose aqueous resin emulsion of a particle diameter of 0.05W2μm.
