To obtain the subject compound useful as an organic electroluminescent material, an electrophotographic material, etc., in high yield readily by a cross coupling reaction between carbon atoms of an aromatic group using a palladium catalyst.
A cross coupling reaction is carried out between carbon atoms of an aromatic group by using a palladium catalyst, for example, a compound of formula I (Ar1 and Ar2 are each an aromatic group; X1 is a halogen, an alkane or an allenesulfonyloxy; Ar1 and Ar2 may be bonded to form a ring; R1 is a substituent group; (l) is 0-4) and a compound of formula II (Ar3 is a monofunctional to hexafunctional aromatic group; X2 is a group to be bonded by Mg, Zn, B, Cu, Al, Si or Sn; (m) is 1-6) are subjected to cross coupling to give a compound containing two or more aromatic amines and at least one aromatic hydrocarbon-based ring collected group.
