Title:
PRODUCTION OF AXIALLY ASYMMETRIC COMPOUND ITS SYNTHETIC INTERMEDIATE, TRANSITION METAL COMPLEX HAVING NOVEL AXIAL ASYMMETRIC COMPOUND AS LIGAND, ASYMMETRIC HYDROGENATION CATALYST, AND ASYMMETRIC CARBON - CARBON BOND-FORMING CATALYST
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3771070
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a novel compound that is constituted with a ligand comprising a specific aminophosphine and a transition metal, for example, rhodium, shows excellent chemical selectivity, enanthioselectivity and catalytic activity and is useful as a catalyst for asymmetric hydrogenation reaction.
SOLUTION: The objective metal complex is constituted with a ligand of an aminophosphine compound represented by the formula (Ar is an aryl which may be substituted with a halogen or the like; R1 and R2 are each H or the like; (n) is 0) and at least one transition metal selected from rhodium, ruthenium, iridium and nickel. The metal complex is prepared by dissolving an aminophosphine oxide of the formula ((n) is 1; R1 and R2 are each a 5-7C cycloalkyl or the like) in an organic solvent, adding a tertiary amine to the solution, and allowing trichlorosilane to react with the aminophosphine oxide to obtain an aminophosphine of the formula [typically (-)-2-amino-2'-diphenylphosphino-1,1'-binaphthyl or the like] and allowing a salt of a metal such as iridium to react with the aminophosphine.
