Title:
PRODUCTION OF AZODICARBONAMIDE FINE PARTICLES
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6422851
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To produce the title compound of extremely fine particles which is used as a foaming agent simply in a shortened time, by feeding an azodicarbonamide solution in DMSO into an aromatic hydrocarbon poor solvent and separating the precipitate.

CONSTITUTION: An azodicarbonamide solution in dimethylsulfoxide is gradually added to an aromatic hydrocarbon poor solvent such as benzene, toluene or xylene, under stirring to form fine particles of azodicarbonamide. The DMSO solution is prepared by dissolving about 3.9g of azodicarbonamide in 100ml of DMSO at 20°C. The use of the solvent enables the formation of extremely fine particles of less than 1.0μ medium particle size.
