Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a method and device to produce a bent tube of excellent cross sectional precision in producing a bent tube of non round shape cross section with, floating/expanding plug bending.
CONSTITUTION: When a tube stock 2 is made to a bent tube by connecting a floating/expanding plug 10 to a mandrel 5 turnable, inserting a tube stock 2 to the floating/expanding plug 10 with driving of an extruding member 6 and imparting bending force with a bending ring 11, the floating/expanding plug 10 is turnable and turned toward the bending direction of tube stock 2, the tube stock 2 is made to follow the cross section forming part 10f of floating/ expanding plug 10 and inserted therein.
