PURPOSE: To provide a process for mass-producing a biodegradable molding of good quality within a short time without worsening the working environment and without much load on the equipment.
CONSTITUTION: This production process comprises molding biodegradable starting materials by high-frequency electric heating and/or high-frequency dielectric heating. It is also possible to use the above heating in conjunction with low-frequency electric heating or extrusion. Low-frequency electric heating features in that, when the water content of the starting materials is relatively high, they can be uniformly heated within a short time, while high-frequency electric heating or high-frequency dielectric heating features in that, when the water content of the materials is relatively low, they can be uniformly heated. Therefore, when starting materials having a relatively high water content are molded, the materials themselves are uniformly heated by low-frequency electric heating, and the materials having a lowered water content are then heated by high-frequency electric heating and/or high-frequency dielectric heating to mold them within a short time.
