Abstract:
To provide a process for packaging a hot melt adhesive composition, wherein a molten hot melt adhesive is packaged with a heat-sealable film at least a portion of which is water-soluble in a film cavity.
A heat-sealable film at least a portion of which is water soluble, desirably, the one containing PVA, a modified starch, or cellulose is used. A molten hot melt adhesive (desirably, a pressure-sensitive adhesive) is charged into a film cavity at a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of the film and packaged. It is desirable that the melt viscosity of the hot melt adhesive is 1,000-200,000 cP.
